Renault presented an electrical prototype, the Kangoo be bop Z.E. This vehicle possesses a technology very similar to that of the future vehicles of series that are in development in these moments.
From July, Kangoo be bop Z.E. will tackle a trip for the whole Europe so that it could be proved by those who wish it. 2011 will be the year of the massive commercialization of electrical vehicles Renault within reach of all.
The Alliance Renault-Nissan looks for the leadership for the commercialization in vehicles mass with zero emission.
A specific and functional design
Derivative of a conventional Renault Kangoo be bop, Kangoo be bop Z.E. differs in his blue color Énergie. The rhombs of the hood and of the rims are of shiny chromium also bluish. Inside we can find different touches of the same tone and of acidic green metallized in the managers and in the cabinet-making, what the only ambience awards Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E. Kangoo be bop Z.E. receives also specific hangings of gray velvet with a drawing of embroidered printed circuit.
In order to optimize the management of the energy on board, Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E., as the Z.E. A motorization 100 % electricity company
Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E. is a vehicle 100 % electrical zero emission. He has been provided with an electrical engine with a potency of 60 by CV which diet reaches 12.000 r.p.m. It provides a much raised energy yield of 90 %, clearly superior to that of the thermal engines.
The electrical engine of Kangoo be bop Z.E. is accompanied by a differential that it replaces to the gearbox, which is usually mounted in the thermal engines. Batteries ión-lithium of last generation
Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E. takes a few batteries ión-lithium compact and innovators made by the company AESC (I automotivated Electric Supply Corporation), shaped by Nissan – NEC, (founded in April, 2007). The yield of these batteries compared with the batteries of the previous generation of metallic nickel - hidruro is top in all the aspects: services, reliability, safety and profitability. The ión-lithium batteries do not know the effect memory that we can observe after the incomplete reload cycles and that they provoke a decrease of the capacity. The drummer AESC should preserve between 80 and 100 % of his capacity during a time of six years.
The finished set of batteries ión-lithium allows to optimize the structural design of the vehicle and offers multiple applications. In Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E., the drummer settles under the apartment of the vehicle and has influence neither in the cockpit nor in the trunk. This way, we make use of 4 individual squares that were specific of the Kangoo be bop with thermal engine.
The battery consists of 48 modules, each of them with 4 elementary cells. It is in the above mentioned cells where the reactions take place electroquímicas that they allow to produce the current or store the energy.
The battery of this prototype offers an energy of 15 kWh. Therefore to one year and a half of the commercialization, Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E. already offers an autonomy of approximately 100 km.
At the moment of his arrival to the market, the electrical Renault vehicles will have an evolution of the batteries that will offer a 160 Km autonomy (real use of the client).
At the end of his use, the ión-lithium batteries can retrain and the Alliance Renault-Nissan is employed at a few processes and suitable circuits of recycling.
A possibility of rapid reload
Kangoo be bop Z.E. is recharged across a capture of type MarechalTM that is under a lid placed in the front of the vehicle, close to the right lighthouse. In another end of the cable we find a standard capture of connection to the corresponding support.
This capture allows two different reload ways:
• A classic load in a domestic capture of 10 or 16 Amperes 220 Volts that the vehicle allows to recharge between 6 to 8h. It is a question of a suitable reload way when the vehicle is parked in the night or during the work day.
• A known load as rapid load in a capture of 32nd 400V trifásica that 80 % of the battery allows to Kangoo be bop Z.E. to recharge in approximately 30 minutes.
A score of builders and of groups of energy, between them Renault, works at present with the German group RWE on the standardization of a universal electrical capture.
This universal capture was presented last April in the fair of Hannover and it will allow to recharge the future electrical Renault vehicles. It talks each other of a capture trifásica that will support a 400 volts tension and will offer, at the moment of the commercialization of the vehicles, a finished electrical load of approximately 20 minutes. This agreement multicompanies means a very important step for the development of the market of the widespread electrical vehicle.
Renault Kangoo be bop Z.E. has also a system of recovery of the energy on having braked that it allows to recharge the vehicle while it is used.
